MEMBERS AREA

To enter the Members Area you need to click on the "LOGIN" button from the page header.
To gain access your members area you will be asked for the "USERNAME" and the "PASSWORD" that you created in your registration.
Once you have successfully logged in, you will be redirected to "YOUR MEMBERS AREA CONTROL PANEL PAGE". The control panel of your members area is on the left. The Control panel is made up of several category sections. "MESSAGING", "BIDDING", "SELLING" etc. For example, under the "BIDDING" title, you will see a number of sub-categories. By clicking on these sub-category titles, you will be able to see the items you are currently bidding on, as well as the status of the bids, items you have won, and watched items. By clicking on the View Details link from the Won Items area, you will be able to see the details of the seller, and make contact with him in order to perfect the sale.

SELLING

Under the "SELLING" category there also a number of sub-categories.

The Opened Auctions category, is where you will see details of all the auctions you currently have active on the site or open.

As long as "NO" bids have been submitted on an open auction, you are still able to edit the auction.

The Closed Auctions category, is where you will see the auctions that you submitted, and that are now finished or closed.

You can choose to edit, delete or re-list a finished or closed auction.

The Sold Items category, is where you will see the items you have sold, and by clicking on the View Details link, you will be redirected to a page where you will see the details of the buyer.

PREFILLED FIELDS

Tip: Before you list anything for sale - find the PREFILLED FIELDS section. It is about 9 sub-categories down under the SELLING Group on your Control Panel. It is here that you can prefill information that will automatically appear on any future items you wish to sell.

As an example; you will not want to fill in the ways you wish to be paid every time you list an item - CASH,INTERNET BANKING-CREDITCARD etc. In the PREFILLED FIELDS you need only to do it once. You can list who is going to pay for the freight if the item is not picked up by the buyer. You can list your preferred way that you will send the Item and the cost. ( NOTE: DO NOT USE THE $ SIGN IN ANY BOX - IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED) For an amount just use numbers eg: 7.50 - You may wish to set up the SHIPPING AND PAYMENT DETAIL BOX for an item: SAMPLE: Freight by XXX Couriers - Buyer will need to sign on delivery. Nth Island 8.50 Sth Island / Waiheke Island 13.50. You can always change price details at time of listing.

FEEDBACK

Feedback is made up of comments and ratings left by other SUPERDEAL members you have bought an item from and/or sold an item to. These comments and ratings are valuable indicators to other members of SUPERDEAL of your reputation as a buyer or seller. From the Feedback area, you will be able to see the feedbacks you have received, and leave feedbacks to other users. Once a sale has been processed, both the seller and the buyer will be able to leave feedbacks for each other. The feedback rating is from one star to five stars, and a feedback comment can also be left. The feedback can be left from the Feedback tab from the Members Area. The feedback can only be left once, and it cannot be edited afterwards. The site admin will reserve its right to delete malicious or untrue feedbacks.

PERSONAL INFO

You can edit your personal information using this page, except for your username. You can also change the password for your account. If the password and confirm password fields are left empty, and then the password will remain the same.

HOW TO BUY

If you have found an item you would like to place a bid on you can do so quickly and easily by following these 5 easy steps:

(If you have not registered you need to register first – See above how to “REGISTER”)

Login to your account.

Visit the auction page and then towards the bottom of the auction description page you will see a bidding box you can use the shortcut link to the bidding box if you wish.

Enter in your bid, note that you must bid above the minimum bid required

Click on the place bid button

You will then be asked to confirm you bid, once you have done so your bid will be entered, and if successful you will receive a confirmation message. If you bid fails to outbid the current high bidder you will be offered the option to place a higher bid.

PROXY BID

Proxy bidding can aid your chances of winning an auction and help avoid you being outbid at the last moment. To place a proxy bid enter in the maximum price you are willing to pay for the item. If another user places a bid on the same auction automatic bids will be placed on your behalf in accordance with your maximum bid amount. With proxy bidding you will pay the lowest possible price until someone else places a higher bid.

BUYOUT or BUY IT NOW

Buy it now prices are set by the seller, if you agree with that price, you can click on the Buy Now button which is displayed on the auction details page. After clicking on the button you will be re-directed to a confirmation page. On a standard auction that auction will end instantly as the item has been sold via Buy it now.

HOW TO SELL

Once you have “REGISTERED” for an account, you will be able to sell items through the site.

In order to SELL an item, you need to first click on the "LOGIN" button from the page header to access your members area.

To be able to access your members area you will be asked for the "USERNAME" and the "PASSWORD" that you created in your registration.

You then can click on the “SELL” link at the top of the page and you will be redirected to the SELL AN ITEM page.

You will need to select “Where you wish to list the item” If you do not operate a SHOP on SUPERDEAL, just choose the AUCTION box.

Once you make the selection you will proceed to the NEXT STEP. The NEXT STEP button is at the bottom of each page.

You will then be asked to choose the “MAIN CATEGORY” appropriate to the product or service you wish to sell.

Once you make the selection of the Main Category a SUB-CATEGORY will then appear.

For example if say, you chose BUSINESS & OFFICE as your main category then sub-categories would appear like: Calculators, Copiers, Office Desks etc. etc.

This feature has been made in order to ease the subcategory choosing process. No items can be sold by choosing only the main category. You will have to choose a subcategory for it.

Once you have selected the sub-category you then proceed to the next step.

You have the option of selecting another Category and sub-category for the item or declining.

For an example of selecting further categories : say you had a Rod and Reel to sell. You could list it under Fishing Gear (FRESHWATER) and also Fishing Gear (SALTWATER)

You then can proceed to the next step.

The next step is entering the auction details.

You enter a TITLE of the item, and then enter a DESCRIPTION.

You can choose the Quantity of items you are selling and then the START PRICE, whether to activate the BUYOUT/BUYNOW option or set a RESERVE price. Also, you will be able to choose what type of bid increment to use, the LetMeBid progressive one implemented into the site , or a custom one. If you choose the custom one, you will have to enter an increment value of your choosing. You will also be able to choose whether to feature the item, and the duration of the auction. You can select an image(s) of the item from your computers PICTURES area. Just follow the prompts by setting the location, shipping and how you wish the item to be paid for in payment and subcategory, and by clicking on the Next Step button, you will be redirected to where you can review the auction before submitting. If everything is in order, you can click on the Submit button. The auction is activated and is now open.

SWAP/TRADE FEATURE

Our network is a unique marketplace that also allows you to trade/swap items.

These day’s people are holding on to every Dollar they can. That's what makes trading such a popular way of selling their items. A successful trade means each person gets something they want while getting rid of something they don't want. Our site offers members an additional way to sell their product or service by ticking the trade/swap feature into their item listing.

Maybe you have items that are just sitting around collecting dust because
you feel they are just too valuable to throw away?

Well how about trading them for something another member may have listed?

If you are open to receiving offers to trade/swap your item, then all you
have to do is activate the TRADE/SWAP section when listing your item for
sale. Your item will then be displayed with the words

"SWAP/TRADE OFFERS ARE ACCEPTED FOR THIS ITEM"

As a member you can also offer your item for other items displayed on the
site by initiating a swap / trade with other members.
The person receiving your trade offer can review your item and decide whether they are interested.
This can all be done between members using your message board located in your member's area.
You have full control either to accept or decline.
If both parties agree on the trade, then the transaction can be finalized.
You may for example wish to trade/swap;

** products for products

**products for products plus a cash difference.

Of course many other combinations can be agreed upon.

ITEM WATCHING & KEYWORDS

The item watch features lets you keep a close eye on any auction without having to place a bid on it. This feature means you can be kept up to date on how an auction is doing and prepares you to place a winning last minute bid. You can watch any auction by clicking on the Watch this item link on any auction page.By clicking on the Auction Watch link, you will be able to add keywords for auctions you maybe interested in. An email will be sent to your email address every time an auction that contains the keyword in its name or description will be sent to you. For example your keyword(s) maybe ANTIQUE TABLE. Just be aware that you will get an email if a member lists an ANTIQUE VASE as the system is picking up on your keyword ANTIQUE. You will also get an email from a member if they list a PINGPONG TABLE as the system is also picking up on your keyword TABLE.

WANTED ADS

Wanted ads are a new and increasingly popular feature. As a member you can list adverts for items you want and sellers can submit offers for items they are selling. Its a quick, simple and hassle free way of sellers being able to meet buyers demands.
List a new wanted ad and wait for sellers to contact you with offers. If you receive an offer your happy with you can bid on the item!
